The exam measures a student’s ability to accomplish a variety of technical tasks. Some of the topics that may be covered in the exam include:

  • Navigating the worksheet using keyboard, mouse and hotkeys.
  • Correctly using AutoFill.
  • Moving cell data, including use of paste special function.
  • Modifying cell formats and styles.
  • Hiding columns and rows.
  • Manipulating workbook and window views.
  • Creating formulas (including use of relative and absolute positions, conditional logic, named ranges and order of precedence).
  • Creating charts and graphics from data, including formatting Sparklines.
  • Filtering data and applying conditional formatting.
