About the course
Test of Professional Competence in Management Accounting (formerly known as TOPCIMA) - The final level and different to any of the exams you will have faced so far on the CIMA qualification journey.
The certificate subjects are:
C01: fundamentals of management accounting paper introduces candidates to core management accounting topics such as cost determination, breakeven analysis, standard costing, cost and accounting systems and financial planning and control.
C02: fundamentals of financial accounting paper takes candidates through conceptual and regulatory frameworks, accounting systems and control, and preparing accounting statements for single entities.
C03: fundamentals of business mathematics introduces students to basic mathematics, probability, summarising and analysing data, variables, forecasting, financial mathematics and spreadsheets. ( Url professional accounting)
C04: fundamentals of business economics covers the goals and decisions of organisations, the market system and the competitive process, the financial system and the macroeconomic context of business.
C05: fundamentals of ethics, corporate governance and business law covers ethics and business, ethical conflict, corporate governance, comparison of English law with alternative legal systems, the law of contract, the law of employment, and company administration and finance
Course Study Format
This course is delivered through ONLINE method. The course is available for you to complete at your convenience over a 12 month period.
All the content is not available at once. In order to make the course more manageable and to ensure you do not run out of time, the course is split into parts.
This is only an approximate figure and is dependant upon how much time you can dedicate to your studies and how well you grasp the learning concepts in the course material. Furthermore, at the end of each lesson there is a question paper that needs to be completed and returned to your tutor.
All exam vouchers supplied with Blue Mountain courses must be used within the duration of your course. Exam Vouchers become invalid once the course has expired.
You can start with the C01 to CO5 courses first of all and take the exams as and when ready, but the exams are scheduled twice a year which are usually May and November.
To successfully achieve a CIMA Certificate in Business Accounting, you must pass five Computer Based Assessments (CBAs) in five distinct subject areas detailed below
- C01 Fundamentals of Management Accounting
- C02 Fundamentals of Financial Accounting
- C03 Fundamentals of Business Mathematics
- C04 Fundamentals of Business Economics
- C05 Fundamentals of Ethics, Corporate Governance and Business Law
As soon as the 5 elements have been done you will be able to move on to the next stage.
This certificate is an entry requirement for the CIMA Professional Chartered Management Accounting Qualification.
