About the course
This Health and Social Care Level 3 course has been created to give students an insight into this vital industry and learn the skills needed to work within a social care setting. This takes hard work and commitment, but working in a caring role is very rewarding also. This course will equip you with the necessary knowledge required to work unsupervised with adults in the social care sector.
The course covers all the important issues of working in an adult social care setting and looks at the meaning of ‘duty of care’ and ‘person-centered approaches’ in a way that benefits everyone in addition to exploring safeguarding, communication, diversity, equality and inclusion and personal development. The course provides an insight into health and safety procedures and explains the importance of effective information handling and record keeping.
This course is assessed through tutor marked assignments which must be sent to your tutor for marking. You will then be provided with feedback and a mark on your work from your tutor within 5 days. After each assignment has been sent off and marked as complete you will have passed the qualification and will receive your certification.
At the end of this course successful learners will receive a Certificate of Achievement from ABC Awards and a Learner Unit Summary (which lists the details of all the units the learner has completed as part of the course). The course has been endorsed under the ABC Awards’ Quality Licence Scheme.
