25 hours per week – 8.30am-1.30pm daily (term time only)
Salary £18,394 - £19,532 pro rata
The governors are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, self-motivated, experienced secretary who can provide a full secretarial service to the Headteacher and other members of the Senior Leadership and school team. You will work closely with the School Business Manager, School Administrator and Finance Assistant in our busy School Office.
Previous experience of school procedures and administrative systems would be a great advantage but training can be provided. It is essential that you are able to communicate and relate with confidence and empathy to a wide range of contacts - pupils, parents, staff, School Governors and the local community. Other key requirements are the ability to identify work priorities and meet work deadlines, have good IT skills, including Word and Excel, and be adaptable to new technologies. A knowledge of, or a willingness to learn, in the maintenance/updating of the school website is essential.
