Health & Safety Assistant
We are seeking to appoint a Health & Safety Assistant who will be responsible for the day to day co-ordination and administration of established Health & Safety systems across the College.
The position would suit someone with strong administrative skills and an interest in Health and Safety. You will be working under the direction of our NEBOSH qualified Health and Safety Officer and as such, a specific Health and Safety qualification is not required. There may be the opportunity for the successful candidate to undertake relevant training in the future
You will need to be hard working, positive, reliable and demonstrate good verbal and written communication skills and have an understanding of the need to maintain boundaries and confidentiality with students and the ability to work with sensitivity and humour. The successful candidate will be required to undertake an enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service check.
This is a permanent 37 hours per week appointment, to be worked Monday to Thursday 8.30 am to 4.30 pm and Friday 8.30 am to 4.00 pm with an unpaid 30 minute lunch break. The salary will be assessed depending on relevant skills and experience and will be between £16,176 and £16,804 per annum.
