A rare and unique opportunity has arisen for a Resettlement Manager within a charity based in Portsmouth. The Roberts Centre charity has a reputation for developing innovative effective services to support vulnerable people, families and children who are struggling to improve their difficult circumstances whether from homelessness, debt, tenancy issues or family breakdown.
Hours: 39 hours per week
Location: Gamble Road, Portsmouth
We are looking to recruit someone who is highly motivated and skilled in both housing management and young people’s services.
As The Resettlement Manager, you will manage three of our flag ship projects: Temporary Accommodation Services, Family and Adult Intervention Services and Boost Pathway.
You will have a ‘can do’ attitude, share our values and have the passion to help us to improve the lives of Children and Families. The successful candidate will have at least 2 years’ experience of managing highly skilled staff teams and fast reactive services.
Temporary Accommodation Service, involves managing 28 City Council properties offering accommodation and assistance for those families and vulnerable people who present to Portsmouth City Council as homeless. This service has a Team Leader.
BOOST Pathway, provides life skills training and on-going support to young people leaving care until they are 25 years old. It also provides up to 10 units of supported housing and 2 training flats. This service has a Senior Worker.
Family and Adult Intervention Project, provides support to families (Gosport) and adults (Portsmouth) whose homes are at risk due to anti-social behaviour.
Successful applicants will be required to provide an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) disclosure. Disclosure expense will be met by The Roberts Centre.
