This is a great opportunity for an Electrical Engineering Manager to join a long established and successful multi-branch Electro-Mechanical engineering business specialising in electrical & mechanical fault-finding and repair. With highly skilled electrical, machining & repair shops in-house, they are able to provide a complete turnkey repair & maintenance service for clients. The company is a market leader in it’s field, and growing demand from clients coupled with the current Electrical Engineering Manager moving to a new post within the business, has led to this vacancy at their Worsley workshop close to the M60 & M61 motorways. The Electrical Engineering Manager will perform the following Duties: •Managing all aspects of the Electrical Workshop •Quoting for new work •Organising work schedules •Supervising the work of junior and qualified personal •Making sure safe working practises are maintained at all times •Making sure work methods are sufficient to meet projects needed •Dismantling electric motors, generators, pumps, gearboxes and other rotating equipment •Determining and repairing faults found •Re- assembly and testing of equipment following repair •Working with motor voltages up to 415 Volts and test voltages up to 2Kv •LV stator and armature winding •Dealing with technical issue’s which may arise •Managing the administration of the team and the workshop. The successful Electrical Engineering Manager will have previous supervisory experience in a similar role, and be competent in dismantling a wide range of motors, including AC, DC, brake motors, gearboxes, pumps, fan units, and experience with static and dynamic testing. This role has great career potential within the business for an enthusiastic and capable Electrical Engineering Manager, along with interesting and sometimes challenging one-off projects. Hours of work are 40 hours Monday to Friday 8.00 am – 4.30 pm, with overtime or weekend work available during busy periods. The role comes with a competitive salary circa £40,000pa Neg DoE plus discretionary bonus.
