We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Registered Service Manager to support adults with learning disabilities within a newly established home close to Peterborough, Cambridgeshire.

Are you a Registered Nurse (RNLD or RMN) and do you have experience supporting adults within learning disabilities or complex needs?

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a newly built home for approximately 10 adults with learning disabilities and complex needs. Set in large and attractive grounds, the new home has high quality facilities, including individual self-contained apartments, communal lounges and dining facilities for the individuals to use as they wish.

Do you have previous experience developing new services and have the drive to bring this exceptional service to Cambridgeshire?

As the Registered Service Manager of this learning disability service, you will play a pivotal role in the growth of a new home, right from the beginning. So, what will the role involve?

  • Initiate and develop the home, maintaining high standards and quality care.
  • Recruitment and training of staff, to uphold excellent care standards.
  • Manage and lead the clinical staff team, meeting targets and best practices.
  • Oversee the running of the home to create a comfortable atmosphere.
  • Be up to date with CQC compliance and regulatory duties.

What experience and qualifications will you need?

You will be a Registered Nurse (RNLD or RMN) with at least 2 years’ experience within a care home setting. You will have experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities/complex needs and have experience of positive behavioural support. You will also hold a QCF Level 4/5 in Health and Social Care, or equivalent. Experience of setting up a new service would be highly desirable.
