National contractor who have won a circa £15m design & build light rail project for a local authority client in the Lancashire region. From this they are looking for an experienced project manager to deliver this from ECI through to final account. Company: A National contractor who have been in the market for over 50 years, with a strong presence within both civil engineering and construction; with projects ranging from £5m - £200m on projects across the UK and internationally. Role: This design and build project will have you leading the project from ECI phase through to final account. This role will see you having full control of the project including: client liaison, P&L, sub contract management, design management along with the day to day management of staff. You will oversee the successful delivery of projects to scope, target cost, quality, programme and completion encompassing engineering, construction, handover and commercial aspects ensuring Perfect Delivery is achieved. Implement a full risk and value engineering management process where all risks and cost savings opportunities are identified and actioned Ensure that project specific requirements are clearly communicated and understood throughout the project and to others, as appropriate Provide direction, motivation and leadership to both internal staff and partner contractors engaged in providing technical support activities to the project Responsible for all safety, health, environment and quality matters including driving excellence and championing continuous improvement Requirements: Minimum HNC Civil Engineering Civil & Rail experience: ideally light rail experience Minimum 4 years’ experience within a project management role.
