We are a leading healthcare company specialising the design, development and manufacture of medical devices that improve the lives of patients worldwide. Due to continued growth, we have an exciting opportunity for Lead Engineer to join the business and manage a team of engineers and technicians on a 4 on 4 off shift system (this role is 4 on 4 off - 12-hour days 06:00 to 18:00/38 hours per week - DAYS ONLY). The Lead Engineer will be responsible for the management and development of a team of engineers on an allocated shift pattern. As part of the top-level manufacturing team, this person will work alongside the Operations, Quality Assurance and Planning Departments in driving through the focus, teamwork and support required to ensure the delivery of all of the key manufacturing KPI's to world class standards. This is a result driven role concentrating on all aspects of machine performance and safety, the Lead Engineer will work to develop and manage a team of engineers, technicians and apprentices in delivering a proactive approach to performance and continuous improvement initiatives, in line with the manufacturing objectives and targets. As part of the senior engineering group, this person will contribute to the direction and strategy of the department, and ensure excellent levels of communication between all shifts and sections of the department.
