 Site Manager (Saturdays and Evenings)

22.25 hours per week, all year round

Band G Point 19, £18,746 (£11,273 pro rata) per annum

Hours of work: Tuesday to Friday, 15:30 to 19:00 (term time) and Saturdays, 08:45 to 16:00 (term time) and 17:00 (on the first and third Saturdays of every month) There is flexibility of hours during school holiday periods.

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an outstanding Site Manager to join the team at Daventry Hill School, a new co-educational all-through (4-18) school for pupils with special educational needs in Daventry. The school opened in September 2016 to a limited number of pupils in all age groups; the School is, however, expected to grow each year until full in 2019 with a total of 175 pupils.

Duties will include:

  • Ensuring the building and internal and external environments are safe, well-maintained and meet Health and Safety requirements
  • Premises management
  • Grounds maintenance
  • Liaising with the external groups hiring the school facilities
  • General maintenance including the janitorial and cleaning provision
  • Ensuring the security of the building
  • Practical skills in plumbing, painting and joinery.

Previous experience and asset management is preferred along with experience of motivating staff and managing work programmes. You must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills at all levels as well as being a great team player. You should have a flexible approach to working hours, high standards, a positive attitude and ability to work on your own initiative as well as to a programme of work.
