JOB TITLE: Accounts Administrator

SALARY & BENEFITS: - Up to £15,500 per annum - Workplace Pension contribution (dependant on age), 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays rising with length of service. 5 Days company sick pay after 12 months service 


WORKING HOURS: Monday to Friday 8.45 am to 5 pm with 45 minutes for lunch (37.5 hours per week)

THE COMPANY: Due to the constant growth of the company, an opportunity has arisen for an Accounts Administrator to join our client’s award winning team who specialise in residential property management.

Our client provides communal and service charge management for blocks of flats and housing developments. They currently manage the servicing, maintenance and repairs for thousands of flats and houses throughout the North West of England. This involves arranging contracts for landscaping, cleaning and window cleaning services, general repairs and maintenance to the exterior and communal areas of the properties and, in liaison with resident Directors, setting service charge budgets, raising subsequent invoices and collecting payments.

THE ROLE: The role of the Accounts Administrator will be to provide an accurate high quality service. Inputting data and providing financial information to directors and clients.

Key Responsibilities of an Accounts Administrator to include:-

To input accounting data efficiently and accurately, meeting deadlines appropriately. 
To prepare daily receipts of cheques and cash ready for banking, ensuring that information is correctly logged in the relevant accounts.
To send out receipts for payments where requested and return any incorrect cheques for amendment, noting actions taken.
To pass all paperwork accompanying payments to the relevant members of staff to deal with any other issues raised.
To update information on the database/Qube when requested by the client, noting action taken. 
To input payments made by Standing Order or Direct Credit from the information given on each Management Company’s bank statement ensuring accuracy when logging details.
Sending accounts and income and expenditure lists to Directors of each company for signing
Preparation and reconciliation of year end accounts on both database and Qube, collation of all invoices, bank statements, annual return and companies house forms, paying in books and cheque stubs.
To assist the purchase ledger clerk logging in invoices and make cheque payments
To promote a positive and helpful image for the company and to help maintain a quality service.
To assist in answering telephone calls from customers entering the information on the Qube system as necessary.
To assist in covering busy periods and holiday cover for Sales enquiries and other departments if required and other duties as requested.
Become proficient in the use of relevant computer packages, undertaking additional training if required.
Establish and maintain effective communications with other staff in the company to ensure liaison and co-operation in all matters.

THE CANDIDATE: The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal/communication skills who is able to work as part of a team. The successful Accounts Administrator will have the willingness to adapt and have a flexible approach to the working day. Our client is looking for someone who has excellent attention to detail who can maintain confidentiality and can use their initiative and prioritise their workload to get the job done.

Accounts Administrator personal specification for the position based Lytham St Annes near Blackpool:

Must live within a commutable distance of Lytham St Annes, near Blackpool.
A good general education, A-C grades in Maths and English or equivalent is necessary.
Experience in working in an accounts environment an advantage
Experience with Microsoft Office Packages is essential and Qube software would be an advantage. 
Previous customer service experience is an advantage.
Must be willing to work towards the IRPM foundation qualification
Must have a good sense of humour
