RPC Promens is an International employer who specialises in the production of plastic products for the consumer and chemical industries using Blow and Injection Moulding technology. The Deeside site, which is based in Sandycroft, are currently searching for an accomplished, professional and highly motivated Shift Production Technician to provide hands on technical support to achieving optimum operational efficiencies and in turn KPI targets. Key Responsibilities / Challenges: Ensure machine parameters are set correctly to achieve consistent, high quality containers at required cycle rates Product and tool changeovers Minimise engineering related downtime by effective machine repairs and carry out maintenance tasks on all production machines; carry out engineering repairs deemed necessary by the Engineering Manager. Effectively control and utilise all raw materials within your working area whilst keeping material weights below maximum tolerance levels and regrind stocks to an absolute minimum Ability to evaluate & train cell leaders to the required standard of process parameter setting Expected to work to a high standard of Health & Safety at all times and to lead by example in all tasks undertaken Provide support to the Shift Production Manager in the collation of production data, labour utilisation and quality management Effective communication on all machine requirements with the Production Manager The preferred candidate will possess the following attributes: A dynamic, proactive individual who possesses strong technical skills and demonstrates the ability to make calculated and structured decisions with the aim of achieving optimum operational output Ability to work to stringent timescales Team player who is able to build and maintain relationships; Effective and fluent communicator both written and verbal at all levels. Able to justify rationale throughout the decision making process. Be ambitious, driven and have extensive knowledge of Manufacturing and Operations, ideally from the Plastics industry; Positive attitude with the ability to get involved in all areas of operational excellence. Self-driven and hands-on, and confident.
