My Client, a FTSE 100 listed household name in Insurance is embarking on a multi-year business and technology digital transformation program and is now looking for a Head Of Digital Transformation. The role reports directly to the CIO and requires someone who has managed and delivered complex digital transformation programs of significant scope. My client is moving from a java-based legacy and mainframe infrastructure technology stack to a more current cloud-based AWS and big data, DevOps environment. They currently have a low-touch tech infrastructure so are looking for someone who has strong experience of managing blue-chip TP Suppliers / Outsourcing Partners in an environment where most of the technology is outsourced. Their plan is to re-use as many of the services and technology they can. You will have a deep understanding of technology from an infrastructure and end-user perspective and be a heavy-hitter who can ramp-up and deliver multiple large business and tech change programmes quickly. Ideally you will have managed the decommissioning / migration of legacy / mainframe systems and transitioned them to a more cloud-based and big data solution. This role requires someone who has designed and implemented innovative ideas and strategic business initiatives to make technology run smoothly and efficiently. You must be passionate about IT and care about the way it‘s delivered to the customer. You must have drive, gravitas and organizational resilience as you will encounter many impediments during this transition. You must have implemented process and structure during a similar transformation programme with many inter-dependencies and moving parts, be accustomed to dealing at C-Level and managing key stakeholders. Insurance experience is ideal here, as is someone who has worked both client-side and for a blue-chip Consultancy. You will have held a similar Director-Level / Head of role reporting directly to the CIO. You must be happy to commute to SW London / Kent.
