Vehicle Inspector Ref: req51438 Position: Vehicle Inspector Location: Milton Keynes Customer: Inside Track Grade: RCS O Contract Type: Permanent (Full Time) Closing Date for Applications: 29th December 2017 For the role of Vehicle Inspector you will be responsible for ensuring that you; carry out vehicle inspections thoroughly ensuring goods in transit damage is captured, record any damage found & notify relevant parties within the agreed time scales, ensure all transporters are unloading and loading safely in line with site risk assessments and safe systems of work, move vehicles around the compound and take ownership of parking and effective parking of vehicles, peg up keys on our security key cupboard and to let accounts staff know of peg numbers for updating systems Key Responsibilities in this role will include; To carry out all vehicle inspections on various contracts, record accordingly and indicate on documents Inspect vehicles thoroughly and within timescales per vehicle and adhering to GIT guidelines To control allocation of vehicle parking and responsible for the indication of where vehicle is parked on site Supply priority vehicles through valet and HOC to feed the work flows Any damage indicated and identify repair method and forward details to Site controller Take ownership of all the keys on delivery and follow the rigid key process To carry out all new arrival inspections for both HOC and Press Contract To carry our random valeting checks and report any vehicles not to standard Check new vehicle product upon delivery and record any damage, follow GIT process To move vehicles around site adhering to speed limits and traffic flows of one way To supply vehicles into the HOC for handover , also remove vehicles which have been returned To control the flow of transporters and unload and reload in a safe working practice To ensure the security of all vehicles on site and keys are secured as well during operating hours and non-operating hours To ensure H&S is adhered to and practised To maintain a clean and tidy working environment Other tasks as directed by the management team. Key skills and experience in this role will include: 2 years' experience in motor industry inspections 2 years' experience working under changing circumstances daily & tight deadlines Good clear communication verbally and written Good education in core GCSE subjects Full UK Driving licence What will you get in return?
