Residential Care Worker required

Chartwell House is a well-established, small residential school for boys who have social, emotional and educational problems.

This is a full time position and the successful candidate will be taking care of children aged between 8 and 16. The hours for this post are 40 hours per week working on rota and will include weekend work. Sleep-in duties will also be a requirement of the post as well as a full driving licence. A key part of the role is managing the day-to-day care of the boys in both their social and educational settings.

A genuine interest in working with vulnerable young people is a priority as well as an ability to form trusting, responsive relationships with them to enable them to manage the changes in their lives that they have to face. You would be working as part of a team with individual responsibilities. You will be expected to complete a probation period of six months and complete a Level 3 Diploma within 2 years.

All specialised training will be provided. A regular supervision system is in place to enable your development.

Starting salary will be £16,500 pa and could be increased dependent upon relevant qualifications.

Successful candidates will be subject to enhanced checks and DBS clearance.
