Children’s Residential Care Worker

Location: Clay Cross, Nottinghamshire, Matlock, Ilkeston, Derby, Worksop, Loughborough, New Rossington

Salary: Starting from £8.00 per hour (including some sleep in duties, sleep in is paid at £28.50 per night. Ample overtime opportunities available). Rising to £8.25 per hour after 3 month performance review.

Children’s Residential Care Workers are currently earning between £20,800 -  £27,500 from working overtime and additional sleep in allowance.

(Senior Children’s Residential Care Workers currently earn from £8.50 per hour - £9.50 per hour)

Description

We have 14 years of residential childcare experience (age group 11 to 18).  We operate 9 residential children’s homes and 1 school spread across Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire.

Due to expansion, promotion and staff movement we are always looking for staff who have a desire to engage, mentor and bring a positive influence in the life’s of the young people in our care.

Training and NVQ qualifications will be provided but the most important quality we are looking for is a commitment and a desire to bring about a positive change in the lives of young people.

The Children’s Residential Care worker role will involve:

  • Helping to create a positive environment for each young person’ with particular reference to his/ her safety, health and education.
  • Helping to carry the homes ethos and values through to the young people and represent Blue Mountain Homes as a professional.
  • Maintaining good professional practices in accordance with the Quality Care Standards for children’s homes.
  • Engaging in the effective delivery of residential childcare in accordance with Company policies and procedures.
