Head of Mathematics
Calderdale College is seeking to appoint an outstanding leader who has the ability to engage and motivate a team to become high performing teachers to assist in achieving high level A* to C GCSE maths achievement for 16 to 18 year olds. The successful candidate will have experience in leading a maths curriculum area and will be able to demonstrate outstanding leadership in the development, planning, delivery and monitoring of the maths curriculum. They will also have a strong desire and ability to follow through in continuously improving the quality of learning, teaching and assessment related to maths GCSE provision. The successful candidate will also have a passion for leading a team to achieve high GCSE results in the maths arena and will have demonstrable evidence of having steered a maths curriculum area to achieve high results in A* to C in GCSE maths.
Our ideal candidate will have a strong record in leadership and be able to provide evidence around leading a team to deliver outstanding results in GCSE maths grades. They will also have strong motivational skills with an ability to direct a diverse team to achieve a vision of high achievement in GCSE maths. You will be able to work with a range of different stakeholders in order to focus on improvements in teaching, learning and assessment leading to high levels of A* to C achievement in GCSE provision.
