Business Growth Support Adviser
Business Growth Support Adviser – Spider Web Recruitment are currently advertising on behalf of this business support company who are looking for a knowledgeable and personable Business Growth Support Adviser to join their reputable team supporting economic, business and employment growth across Norfolk and Suffolk. As the Business Growth Support Adviser, you will provide telephone support to local businesses across Norfolk and Suffolk, assessing their needs, giving information on relevant services to support business growth and providing after-care to businesses that are already engaged with the company.
You will help to identify, raise awareness of and advocate for particular support necessary to support growth which is not currently available to local businesses. You will also ensure enquiries are managed effectively and input and extract database information, enabling the smooth delivery of targets.
As the main contact for initial telephone enquiries and after-care support, you will be a confident communicator and able to share information to a wide business audience, as well as raising awareness of specialist services to support growth such as DIT, ERDF Grants and other opportunities through Innovate UK. It is therefore important that you have a good knowledge of the types of support currently available in Norfolk and Suffolk for a wide range of businesses, as well as the eligibility requirements.
Computer literate, you will have a good working knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint and be able to provide general administrative support including file management. Working closely with the Communications Officer, you will also assist in identifying suitable contacts for case studies and success stories. With an eye for detail, you will ensure all information is recorded accurately, making sure that each enquiry is given accurate and relevant information.
The successful Business Growth Support Adviser must able to work with minimum supervision and with a high degree of self-motivation, as well as being able to work toward shared objectives. With good people skills, you will be confident in communicating via telephone, in person and by written correspondence.
You must also have an appropriate SFEDI or other relevant professional qualification or willingness to work towards achieving this. This post is part-funded by the European Regional Development Fund. Initially for a fixed term ending on the 31st August 2018 and only continuing subject to an extension of funding.
