Corby Technical School is a free school that opened in September 2012. We are now in our new facility that boasts the most up to date educational technologies to support the latest teaching techniques and match our technical ethos. The school was rated as Outstanding in our most recent
Ofsted inspection. We are looking to employ a Library Assistant who shares our aspirations for excellence.
The person appointed will be able to communicate at all levels, with students, staff and parents as necessary. Normal working hours will be 08.15 – 16.45 Monday to Friday. There may be the need to adapt these hours on occasion to suit the needs of the school. This is a full-time permanent contract, term time only (40 weeks).
We are seeking to appoint an outstanding and highly motivated Library Assistant to start as soon as possible. Good levels of literacy, numeracy and IT skills are required. Knowledge of Library Management Systems (specifically eclipse.net) would be desirable but are not essential. Most
importantly is an understanding of libraries and good knowledge of contemporary children’s and young adult’s literature.
