JOB TITLE: Care Assistant

SALARY: £7.70 per hour

  • Pension scheme
  • Overtime paid at £8.20 per hour
  • Bank holidays paid at time and a half
  • DBS paid by the employer

WORKING HOURS: Full time and Part time hours available - Days or Nights

THE COMPANY: Our client is a 40 bed Care Home in Cheadle, Stockport. They provide safe, effective, and personalised care to residents, delivered by competent, trained and knowledgeable staff who have empathy and passion for working with older people. They are currently looking for a Care Assistant to join their friendly team.

THE ROLE: Genuinely valuable and rewarding opportunities have arisen for caring individuals to join this friendly Care Home based in Cheadle, Stockport. Working as a Care Assistant you will be responsible for providing excellent personal care to the residents ensuring their needs are met at all times.

Key Responsibilities of Care Assistant to include:-
  • Reporting to the Nurse in charge
  • Providing a high standard of care to assist residents with their daily living needs
  • Helping residents with meals
  • Assisting residents with personal care such as washing, dressing and toilet needs
  • Assisting residents with mobility, moving and handling
  • Complying with infection control procedures
  • Getting involved with residents activities such as board games and movies
  • Following care plans in order to maintain a high standard of care and recording activities
  • Treating residents with care and compassion at all times
  • Promoting wellbeing

THE CANDIDATE: A Care Assistant will be caring, approachable and compassionate by nature with excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team. Although no experience is necessary, a genuine interest and passion for care and the elderly is essential.

Key experience essential for the Care Assistant role:
  • Able to commute to Cheadle, Stockport
  • Willing to undertake an enhanced DBS check
  • A passion for care
  • Excellent communication skills
