Recovery Support Worker (1 fixed and 1 permanent)
Our clients are a UK leading provider of drug and alcohol treatment services to offenders. They deliver treatment and recovery support – in prisons and in the community – which helps people move away from addiction and crime. These services provide a variety of support, including advice, counselling, group work and intensive treatment.
Our clients currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Recovery Worker to join their Recovery support team. The team aims at reducing the risks of relapsing and re-offending and improve the health and social functioning of service users in recovery, by providing a comprehensive range of support services both in prison and the community. The role involves supporting staff and service users in custody to access services as well as direct support to client and volunteers. The services provided are run in our our clients New Recovery Hub in Hoxton where service users can access workshops, training and social activities.
To take up this fantastic opportunity you will possess a thorough knowledge of addiction and recovery pathways and of the needs of clients in early recovery from addiction.
You will have strong administration skills, an understanding of 12-step treatment, be able to obtain prison vetting, and a commitment to the work of the charity.
