LOCATION: Reading, Berkshire

JOB TITLE: Administrative Officer

SALARY: Starting at £19,346 per annum

BENEFITS: 25 days paid leave annual leave plus 9 additional privilege and public holidays, final salary pension scheme and annual bonus scheme.

WORKING HOURS: Monday – Friday, 37 hours per week

THE COMPANY: Our client is an organisation that provides vital support to volunteer Reserves and Cadets around the UK through 13 autonomous Associations. These have some 8,000 volunteer members supported by professional staff allowing a local defence footprint. They provide both financial and logistic support as well as assistance and encouragement in recruiting both Cadets and Adult Instructors within the Army Cadet Force. They are currently looking for an Administrative Officer to join their team based in Reading, Berkshire.

THE ROLE: The Administrative Officer will report to the Cadet Executive Officer and will be responsible for assisting with the day-to-day running of the offices.

Key Responsibilities for the Administrative Officer to include:-
  • Assisting the Cadet Executive Officer with the day-to- day organisation and running of the County offices
  • Responsible for Adult Volunteer enrolment procedures
  • Maintenance of personnel records for Adult Volunteers and Cadets on bespoke software
  • Maintenance of filing systems and office records, both manual and electronic
  • Booking of training courses.

THE CANDIDATE: The ideal candidate for the Administrative Officer position will have relevant clerical experience, good organisational skills, an eye for detail and a high level of keyboard accuracy. A working knowledge of Microsoft Office is essential.

Key experience essential for the Administrative Officerrole:
  • Previous Administration experience
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills
  • Able to commute to Reading, Berkshire.
