Head of Client Engagement
Head of Client Engagement – Spider Web Recruitment are currently supporting this independent live experience agency in their search for a Head of Client Engagement. The company produce engaging and memorable live communications and events for a range of well-known brands across the UK. This is an exciting opportunity to join a successful boutique company who combine events industry pedigree with the agility and personal service of a small consultancy. As Head of Client Engagement you will work closely with the Managing Director, identifying and building relationships with end clients as well as third party agency partners.
The main responsibilities of the Head of Client Engagement will include:
- Managing and developing the CRM database and identifying potential new opportunities for growth through online forums, social media and networking exhibitions and events.
- Researching target clients/sectors and providing regular updates to the team on industry trends, challenges, and competitor activity.
- Managing your personal opportunity pipeline and delivering growth against agreed revenue targets.
- Attending face to face meetings and presentations with existing or prospective clients and managing invitation to tender (ITT) and other competitive pitch processes.
- Maintaining regular client contact during the run up to live projects, ensuring that the highest standards of project management are being delivered.
This role is office based with frequent travel to client meetings, business functions and live events. Due to the consultative approach of the company you will need to demonstrate an understanding and empathy with the challenges facing marketing and events teams, providing advice and input on creative ways to help solve those challenges.
As the successful Head of Client Engagement, you will have significant experience in a senior role within marketing, PR or events combined with strong client services experience, preferably gained within an agency environment. You must demonstrate excellent communication, presentation and networking skills as well as a willingness to make an active and positive contribution to the growth of the business.
You will have a personal interest in the primary target sectors in which the company operate (automotive and technology), coupled with a genuine passion for the value of face to face communications and a desire to build lasting client relationships through a consultative approach. You will also be able to integrate well within a small team, with a positive outlook and a friendly, flexible approach to both inspire others, and be inspired by them.
