A charity situated in Harrogate are recruiting for a Public Affairs Administrator to join their busy and proactive team. This is a permanent role, the successful applicant will be required to provide first class administrative support to the Chief Executive across all activities, with a particular focus on stakeholders and donor giving.

This is a full time position, office hours are 9.30am to 5.30pm. On occasions it might be necessary to work evenings or weekends in order to fulfil the role and meet deadlines.

The key responsibilities are below;

·Provide general administrative support to the CEO

·Work closely with the CEO to identify and nurture relationships for funding purposes

·Maintain regular contact with and manage relationships with current and prospective corporate donors & local trusts and foundations

·Carry out research into potential prospects, meetings and create specific proposals to their needs

·Produce monthly reports to account for all elements of income generation and communications

·Draft correspondence and respond to enquiries as appropriate

·Ensure accurate recording of donor relationships, managing relevant databases, records, files and processing ensuring high levels of stewardship via letters, emails and comms

·Coordinate a regular programme of cultivation events to engage potential and thank existing sponsors

·To ensure sponsor/ T&F expectations are delivered

·To coordinate and host sponsors’ corporate hospitality requirements

·To coordinate PR initiatives for sponsors/ T&F

·Monitor and evaluate all funding relationships including review documentation

·Represent the charity at events

·Attend business to business networking events

·Coordinate mailings

·Proven ability to generate income from a variety of sources

·Proven ability to manage relationships across a range of partners and stakeholders

·Effective planning skills and the ability to meet deadlines

·Ability to influence


·Strong negotiating and sales skills

·Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to write clear, well structured, relevant promotional material

·Excellent IT skills including Microsoft Office applications

The salary is £15,000 to £18,000 per annum, depending on experience. The annual leave entitlement is 28 days per year, including bank holidays.
