LOCATION: Banbury, Oxfordshire

JOB TITLE: Cleaner/Housekeeper( Hospital)

SALARY & BENEFITS: Competitive hourly rate & benefits

WORKING HOURS: 6pm-9pm-Monday to Friday (flexibility will be required on occasions to cover holidays/Sickness)

THE COMPANY:  Our client based in Banbury, Oxfordshire is an acute care hospital that has 12 beds, 1 operating theatre, an endoscopy suite and supporting services including Pre-admission, Imaging, Physiotherapy and Outpatients. Consultants, patients, relatives, staff, visitors and insurers are all considered to be customers of the Hospital and they strive to meet and exceed expectations of all their customers.

Role Purpose:- Cleaner/Housekeeper( Hospital)- Banbury, Oxfordshire
  • Ensure that housekeeping services throughout the hospital are of the highest possible standard and are within infection control guidelines and health & safety policies.( cleaning of Ensure operating theatre, etc.)
  • To ensure high standards of service are maintained throughout the hospital
  • To ensure all housekeeping services have the highest possible impact on patients’ perception of the hospital services
  • To liaise closely with all other departments within the hospital.

Core Responsibilities:- Cleaner/Housekeeper( Hospital)- Banbury, Oxfordshire

  • ensure Health & Safety guidelines are adhered to
  • ensure Infection Control guidelines are adhered to
  • maintain the customer perception of the hospital service
  • The Housekeeper reports directly to the Housekeeping Manager
  • Ensure all housekeeping services have the highest possible impact on patient’ experience
  • Reports to and has daily contact with the Housekeeping Manager
  • Has courteous and professional relationship with all staff colleagues, patients and consultants.
Knowledge / Skills / Qualifications:-Cleaner/Housekeeper( Hospital)- Banbury, Oxfordshire
  • Previous experience in a Cleaning/ Housekeeping role with good knowledge of housekeeping procedures preferred but not essential
  • Previous or current work experience in a care/ Hospital setting with working experience/Knowledge of infection control advantageous
  • Flexibility around working hours when required
  • To have an understanding of Health & Safety
  • To have first class skills in customer care
  • Be able to prioritise work load
