JOB TITLE: Support Worker

SALARY & BENEFITS: £16,457.09 p.a. - £18,522.60 p.a.

WORKING HOURS:  Full and Part-Time hours up to 37 hrs per week-Monday to Friday

THE COMPANY:  Our client provides a service across Norfolk and Suffolk, supporting people with complex mental health problems, to help them lead an independent life of their choice.

Their services include a range of supported housing and community outreach support in Ipswich, West Suffolk and Norfolk, available to people in receipt of secondary mental health services.


THE ROLE: Support Worker– Ipswich-Suffolk

My client is looking for enthusiastic support workers who can make a positive impact on the lives of people experiencing mental health problems to join our motivated and recovery focused PRT team. Ideal candidates will be proactive and have the ability to empower others to increase their independence as well as being, IT literate.  Experience of working with people who have mental health difficulties is not essential; however, experience of working with vulnerable adults would be helpful.

You will work as part of a team providing a service in the community of West Ipswich, you may occasionally be asked to cover work at our 24/7 services. The team provides a service between 9am – 5pm five days a week. You’ll need a car and valid licence for this role.

Key skills and experience required:- Support Worker– Ipswich-Suffolk

  • No previous care/support experience is required although is an advantage
  • although not essential, Health & Social care qualifications or equivalent would be advantageous
  • Empathy, caring and sensitivity to the needs of others
  • Strong communications and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Driving licence and access to a vehicle essential
  • An enhanced DBS is required for this role
