LOCATION: Olney, Buckinghamshire – Responsible for North of England 

JOB TITLE: Business Development Manager 

SALARY & BENEFITS: circa £45k dependent on previous skills and experience plus company car or car allowance 

WORKING HOURS: Full Time - Monday to Friday (will be required to be flexible and attend 5-6 exhibitions per year)

THE COMPANY: Our client is an Electrical Power Engineering company working within the UK Energy Sector with a their head office in Olney, Buckinghamshire who specialise in the High Voltage Design & Build of Electrical Engineering infrastructure, & work on the UK’s Electrical grid network. As a Lloyds accredited Independent Connection Provider (ICP), our client provide an alternative solution when their clients require a connection for their project to the grid network. Due to successful growth, they now seek a dedicated and experience Business Development Manager to join their existing team.

THE ROLE: To source new business opportunities within the Industrial & Commercial Sector, at voltage levels ranging from 11kV through to 132kV. More specifically, electrical connections for ICP’s, IDNO’s, Logistic Parks, Distribution Hubs, Data Centres & commercial & residential developments. You will aslo research & build relationships with new/existing clients, negotiate & close new projects & maintain extensive knowledge of current market conditions

Key Responsibilities for the Business Development Manager's role in Olney, Buckinghamshire to cover Nationwide include:

- Responsible in sourcing new business opportunities within the Industrial & Commercial Sector, at voltage levels ranging from 11kV through to 132kV
- Source new opportunities for electrical connections for ICP’s, IDNO’s, Logistic Parks, Distribution Hubs, Data Centres & commercial & residential developments
- Research & build relationships with new and existing clients as well as negotiate & close new projects
- Maintain extensive knowledge of current market conditions

THE CANDIDATE: The successful candidate for the Business Development Manager's role must have extensive experience in the Engineering, Construction and Civil Engineering industries. It is essential you are committed to providing quality personal performance & building long-term relationships with clients and utilising effective business solutions.

Key Experience/ Characteristics preferred for the Business Development Manager's role :-

- Must have previous experience working in Engineering, Construction or Civil Engineering sectors
- Is essential you have experience within the High Voltage Electrical Power Industry 
- Must be a driven person who can build long-term relationships with clients and utilise effective business solutions 
- Any previous experience working within a IDNO or ICP company would be highly desirable
