Online Trading Manager

We are growing the P&O Cruises E-Commerce offering so that we can provide a world class brand specific digital experience and are currently looking for a Trading Manager to help support the business.
The P&O Cruises Digital team is responsible for driving and maintaining P&O Cruises digital presence across the entire customer journey, and in particular, is playing a central role in cost-effective marketing acquisition. The scope of the team's responsibilities includes managing the brand websites, other digital platforms and all elements of digital marketing, including social media, online display advertising, PPC, SEO, email marketing, affiliates, lead generation and more.
As Online Trading Manager you will be responsible for developing and implementing online merchandising strategies to drive profitable revenue for our key products & trades - generating key insight by combining digital analytics data with a detailed understanding of product / trends. As Online Trading Manager you'll capitalise on those insights quickly, through the application of a broad range of trading levers, strategies and techniques
- Experience in an online trading or merchandising role
- Proficient with Google Analytics
- Planning, prioritisation and delivery focused Desirable
- Knowledge of other analytics packages (eg: Adobe Site Catalyst)
- Experience of conversion optimisation or A/B testing software
You will have substantial experience of influencing at a senior level, coupled with the ability to build close working relationships with internal teams and managing external agencies. Preferably you will have travel industry exposure, but this is not essential.
You'll need to have strong commercial acumen, putting our guests at the heart of every decision. You'll naturally have excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills and will be considerate of other people's perspectives.
Technically, you'll be able to analyse opinions and quickly form a decision based on sound judgement, whilst identifying trends / making recommendations based on insight. Key to your success will be your ability to identify new ways of doing things, and approach situations with an open mind, you'll be a strong, tenacious team player and you will approach change with a positive outlook, identifying the potential opportunities presented.
