Procurement Adviser is required for a contract position in, London Sopra Steria Recruitment working in partnership with a major public sector client in the UK.

Job Title: Procurement Adviser

Location: London

Contract: 4 Months with possible extension

This role is to support the Procurement and Supply Chain Manager with compliance and procedures. The individual will be working with other parts of the business and will need to be driven to push things through. Hiring Manager is looking to interview the week commencing 24th October so please make candidates aware. There is no additional travel associated with this role. Key accountabilities:

To help enforce and maintain the procurement strategy, supporting the overall business strategy;

Where appropriate, work with the Procurement and Supply Chain Manager and seek to consolidate contracts, gaining economies of scale and saving costs whilst protecting service levels;

Ensure proper monitoring of the contracts and initiate actions, eg review and renewal dates;

Ensure users within LCCC deal with suppliers within the terms and conditions of the contract, and that all communications between suppliers and users within LCCC take place effectively, efficiently and in a timely manner;

Work with the Procurement and Supply Chain Manager to ensure timely contractual negotiations as part of the procurement process;

Ensuring all activity undertaken is in line with government regulations and best practice;

Preparing monthly reports for senior managers and working closely with internal stakeholders to evaluate needs. Monitor and report on adherence to contract KPIs ensuring that supplier performance meet the standards, quality and cost requirements;

Analysing procurement MI to identify ways of improving compliance with contracts and setting up reporting mechanisms to support this;

Updating policy guidance and support internal stakeholders in enhancing understanding of compliance to the procurement process

Developing and maintaining strategic contracts log.
