Business Test Portfolio Manager
Certes have been instructed to recruit a Business Test Portfolio Manager on behalf of a leading financial services organisation in the Cardiff area. Resulting from large scale changes across the organisation and continued success in there industry my client is looking to recruit a Business Test Portfolio Manager to take ownership of the testing delivery and direct and define test strategies across the division that ensure appropriate and efficient testing of projects that deliver operational effectiveness and project benefits.
You will also manage and control test activity, participate in business planning and strategy activities and manage complex relationships across the business and IT areas (including third parties), control and monitor the cost of test activities, drive forward the continuous development of testing capability and define, develop and deliver processes and systems to ensure a consistent level of service.
To be considered for this role you will need to be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:
*ISTQB Expert Level Qualification (Test Management or Improving Test Process) or equivalent experience
*Understanding of risk assessment methodologies and their implementation in test
*Strong understanding of the different drivers and needs of customers, distributors and partners
*Strong understanding of corporate level plans, strategies and business drivers, and current issues
*Working knowledge of financial products and services and of competitor markets
*Has a good understanding of commercial drivers and priorities (understand P&L, Value Add, APE etc)
*Good knowledge and understanding of systems and structures within BU.
*Good understanding of company wide systems, structures and dependencies
*Good understanding of key external systems interfaces that impact across the organisation
*Experience in leading test across multiple Development methodologies (V-Model, Agile, Extreme, Waterfall)
*Experience in BAU and Project Test delivery
*Experience using Test Management tools (eg HP Quality Center) to manage test execution and reporting.
*Detailed knowledge of best practices for both static and dynamic testing
*Good understanding of test process definition and control
*Detailed knowledge of test planning, estimation, tracking and reporting across a portfolio of projects
*Detailed knowledge in defining and capturing test metrics
*Detailed understanding of resource management, including implementing successful test teams & team building
