DSLV was formed from three schools (an Infant, Junior and Secondary) in February 2011 and became an all-through academy in April 2012.  We currently have over 1100 students on role, with children coming from across the Daventry area and surrounding villages.  We expect all our children to be the best they can be and know that this will only happen if they feel happy and supported in our academy.  At DSLV we use the words ‘nurture, aspire, achieve’ as an important part of our identity and have a well-deserved reputation for inclusion and a focus on achievement and progress.

We currently have an exciting opportunity available and are keen to appoint an Academy Support Officer as soon as possible. The main duties of the role will include:

  • Reception duties first point of contact with parents and visitors both face to face and by telephone

  • Dealing with staff and student enquiries

  • Provide whole school administrative and reprographic support

  • First aid duties

  • Maintain and update databases

The successful candidate will possess the following:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • A flexible, self-motivating and positive attitude

  • A professional, respectful and courteous manner

  • Strong numeracy, literacy and ICT skills

  • Willing to undergo CPD and First Aid training

Salary: Grade D Points 10 to 12

Hours: 37 hours per week 40 weeks per year

Actual salary: £13,366.53 to £13,879.68
