LOCATION: Radcliffe, North Manchester

JOB TITLE: Centre Leader

SALARY & BENEFITS: £15,168 per annum (50% of full time equivalent at £30,336 pro rata)

WORKING HOURS: 20 hours per week (flexible including evenings and weekends)

THE COMPANY: We are currently working with Spiritual centre in Radcliffe. They offer online courses inspired by the spiritual insights of the 18th century visionary Emanuel Swedenborg. As well as their own programme of meditation groups and mindfulness classes, the centre welcomes outside groups to use the premises to hold meetings, workshops and regular community events.

THE ROLE: As a Centre Leader you will be coordinating a programme of events and workshops to facilitate personal spiritual reflection and learning. You will provide strategic leadership for the development of the centre as well as ensuring the practical day-to-day smooth running of the building and its programme.

Key Responsibilities of a Centre Leader to include:-
  • Coordinating a programme of events and workshops to encourage community involvement
  • Communications and marketing – including promotion of the centre, website managements and production of printed material and publicity campaigns
  • Developing partnerships and networks with other spiritual/religious/voluntary movements in the UK
  • Guidance and line management support to the centre administrator
  • Write proposals for funding opportunities

THE CANDIDATE: The successful candidate will need to be a self-driven, highly motivated and pro-active individual who has the ability to make sound judgement and offers a high level of professionalism. It is highly desirable that you will have a good knowledge of spiritual thought and has a strong interest on developing an understanding of Swedenborgian ideas.

Key experience essential for the Centre Leader role:
  • Experience of leading a team to achieve a successful outcome
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Good planning and organisational skills
  • Experience of working in an environment that requires liaising with a variety of people/organisations/groups
  • Experience of organising and facilitating events or workshops
  • Experience of developing marketing materials
  • Managing a budget and making good use of limited resources
