: Job Details We are currently seeking 2 x Senior Assessment & Allocation Officers to supervise and manage a small team responsible for the accurate assessment and fair allocation of permanent social housing/temporary accommodation. The successful applicants will work with their team to ensure that assessments and allocations are made in line with Council's Allocations Scheme. You will also be expected to respond to members' enquiries and complaints within the corporate time frame. In order to succeed in this role you must be: a team player, have a positive and flexible approach in your work, be committed in providing a good quality customer focused service, and enjoy problem solving, with an eye for detail. You need possess an up to date knowledge of housing legislation and be able to successfully lead a team/delivering results. Applicants with a courteous yet firm manner when dealing with customer enquiries often under difficult circumstances, coupled with an ability to communicate complex information in a clear and concise way, will be ideally suited to this role. You will have the ability and the enthusiasm to supervise, motivate and develop staff and will be keen to assist in the development of procedures and systems to continually improve service delivery. This will include encouraging customers to use the Council's website as a knowledge base and the Council's online customer portal for accessing services and related enquiries. As part of the selection process for this role, if you are invited for interview you will need to complete a range of assessments.
