£9.50 per hour + Company BenefitsWe are recruting for a Team Leader to join the team within our Young Peoples Residential Service in Taunton. This is a Full Time position working 40 hours per week. Being a residential 24 hour service - we require candidates able to work across day and night shifts including sleep ins (which would be paid at a flat rate of £47.00)Our young people's services provide high quality residential services for young people aged up to 19. We offer tailored care and support for young people with conditions such as autism, mental health problems, challenging behaviour and learning disabilities. We have a range of residential services that offer a stable and supportive environment in which young people can develop their skills, independence and confidence. Responsibilities:Work as part of a team delivering high quality support services in accordance with an agreed planPromote and maintain independence, choice and respect throughout all aspects of the serviceDeliver support in accordance with the relevant Childrens Regulations including quality standardsAdhere to the company's policies and proceduresMaintain confidentiality in all aspects of your workSupervising, monitoring, role modelling, supporting staffPromote and support the health and safety of the people we support at all timesMaintain a healthy and safe environmentCommunicate effectively with service users, families, colleagues, managers and other professionals, both in writing and verballyUndertake any other duties as required by the businessBenefits:28 days annual leave, inclusive of bank holidaysChild Care VouchersEye Care VouchersRetail Discount SchemeCost of DBS CheckComprehensive induction On-going training & developmentRequirements:Previous experience in supporting young peopleQCF / NVQ Level 3 Health & Social Care, Children & Young People or equivalentAble to work on your own initiative but also able to act upon and follow instructionExperience or capacity to develop individual staff members and a teamA commitment to supporting young people to live lifestyles of their choosingAble to problem solve and be proactive in the development of the serviceExperience of working with children with emotional, behavioral, social would be an advantage but is not necessaryOur positions are subject to Enhanced DBS Disclosures which will be completed upon successful application.
