Time Recruitment is currently supporting a large national healthcare provider in its search for a Staff Nurse for a specialist elderly care centre in Bristol. The home offers person-centred care and support to those living here and their families, based on their individual and changing needs. They also offer short-stay respite care that can be booked up to a year in advance, which can be helpful when planning holidays and short breaks.

The facility is extremely passionate about high end dementia care and runs a dementia champion programme across the home alongside providing specialist training into dementia mapping and awareness and have only the most qualified dementia specialists and support staff on site.

The company are award winning for its training and development and offer a university accredited management succession programme ensuring you get educational support before starting the role; the position offers NVQ level 4 and 5 all paid for and regular one to one sessions with the home manager to ensure routes into deputy home management and home management are addressed with a structured career development portfolio, being a national company progression opportunities are greater and are heavily endorsed.

The role will require you to complete to following duties regularly:

' Ensure the delivery of quality care by continually assessing our residents needs and wishes

' Develop, review and update care plans to meet our clients changing physical, social and psychological needs.

' Communicate professionally and warmly with visitors including family, friends and other external stakeholders.

' Comply with all legal, regulatory and best practice guidelines.

' Ensure medicines are appropriately received, stored and administered to our clients.

' Promote high standards of nursing care for you and your team, by ensuring all staff are supervised appropriately and the shift runs in a smooth efficient manner.

' Ensure that the team's skill and knowledge levels are able to meet the changing needs of the business.

With a strong team and a recently refurbished environment this role is a pivotal one in which we are looking for either a RGN/RMN or RNLD qualified. As a dementia specialist home supporting clients with severe dementia, experience of dementia is required to apply to this role.
