Waking Night Support Worker - Children's Autism - Basingstoke

Salary - £17,000 - £18,000

I am working with a leading provider of residential care and education based in Basingstoke, Hampshire for children with complex disabilities and needs along with additional problems such as autism, epilepsy and challenging behaviour.

You will be working within one of the residential units in a fantastic rural school setting with an industry leader in inclusive therapeutic care for children. The company offers excellent starting opportunities as well as in house training facility to assist in gaining further NVQ's alongside a culture that allows staff to move into new roles within the school freely.

There is no experience necessary for this role, just a passion for care and delivering positive outcomes alongside a resilient work ethic to match the School Principal's.

Desired qualifications and experience are:

  • Some experience within social care (children's or adult's learning disabilities)
  • A relevant social care qualification (NVQ Level 2 or 3, Bachelor's Degree in Health and Social Care, Psychology etc) or willing to work towards
  • An understanding of learning disabilities, autism and challenging behaviour
  • An emotional resilience to what can be a challenging environment
  • Driving license and own vehicle (due to rural location)
