We are a leading not-for-profit organisation that builds, manages and maintains homes for people across the South West. We are expanding and are now seeking Heating Engineer to join our team. As a Heating Engineer, you will join our Repairs Team and provide a high quality fault fixing and maintenance service at multiple sites throughout Devon and Cornwall.

Inspecting and diagnosing faults, you will seek to rectify problems whilst delivering a high level of customer service and acting as an ambassador for the company. As you will be working in tenants homes, it is imperative that your van, equipment, tools and PPE are maintained in good working order and you are professionally presented at all times. You will work within all health and safety guidelines at all times and follow our policies and procedures in all of your day-to-day activities. As part of your role, you will be required to take part in an on-call rota. As such, you must be flexible in order to work occasional evenings, weekends and bank holidays. To be considered, you must be:

- A Gas Safe Engineer who has experience in domestic installations and repairs
- ACS qualified (all core elements)
- Post qualification experience
- Demonstrable experience of carrying out gas installation work in accordance with the National Working rules for the gas heating industry.
- Experience utilising other building skills to an acceptable standard
- An awareness of Health and Safety procedures
- Knowledge of responsive maintenance
- Experience of technical diagnosis and fault finding
- A full driving licence
- Detail oriented and customer focused, as a Heating Engineer, you must have strong communication and team working skills. A perfectionist mentality and pride in your work is also key.
- The ability to use and update computerised devices (including a handheld smartphone or Tablet PC) would be beneficial to your application and previous experience of working in tenanted homes would be an advantage.
