Purpose of role: Establish and maintain a description of the performance of the Ship Combat System. Outputs/Deliverables: Performance assessment tools Performance assessment demonstrations, presentations, and reports Tasks and Activities: 1. Develop performance assessment tools. 2. Assess Type 26 GCS & Type 23 performance. 3. Investigate opportunities for improvements to CS performance. 4. Develop and deliver performance assessment demonstrations, presentations, and reports. 5. Contribute to development of T26 CS Performance Assessment Report.

Technical Skills: Strong mathematical capability, with the skills to apply this to mathematical modelling and analysis. Proficient in use of MATLAB & Simulink for mathematical modelling of system performance. Understanding of DOORS and System Architect tools. Good organisational and communication skills. Ability to write technical documentation. Knowledge of appropriate engineering development methodologies and strategies. Software development skills beneficial (C++/Java/dxl) Modelling and Simulation experience beneficial.

Industry Knowledge: Awareness of Naval Combat System equipment, capabilities and performance. Understanding of the tools, techniques & methodologies used across industry to implement and conduct effective Performance Modelling & Simulation. Understanding of the need to capture and maintain data generated for use by the project and the tools and techniques so used.
