You will be working for...

A company that employs its motorsport-inspired engineering and manufacturing capabilities to improve vehicle and driver performance.

The group supplies electronics and powertrain products and engineering services to high performance vehicle manufacturers, motorsport teams and performance enthusiasts around the world.

The company was founded in 1958. With headquarters in Northampton, UK, the group has a globally-recognised brand and employs staff across Europe and the USA.

In this role, you will be...

- Managing the Helpdesk
- Resolving tickets or investigating and gathering further information to pass on to secondary support engineers
- Ensuring all new starters have IT equipment and accounts ready for day one
- Processing leavers, ensuring data is archived and accounts are shut down
- Assisting other team members in IT projects where required
- Deploying and configuring mobile devices where required
- Expected to look after network and server hardware, applying firmware upgrades in planned maintenance windows and arrange swap out hardware with third parties on failures

- Networking and Architecture
- Mobile and Operating System
- Cloud Services
- Coding and Logic
- Business Process

Apprenticeships and Vendor qualifications L3

- Advanced Apprenticeship Infrastructure Technician Level 3 (equivalent to A- level educational level), MTA Networking Fundamentals, MTA Mobility and Devices Fundamentals, MTA Cloud Fundamentals, One Microsoft MOC on demanded course

Level 4

New skills including:

- Networking Principles
- Network Systems and Architecture
- Installing and Configuring Windows Server 2012
- Technical Security Fundamentals
- Threats and Vulnerabilities

Apprenticeships and Vendor qualifications L4

- Higher Apprenticeships Network Engineer Level 4 (equivalent to first year of degree study), Microsoft Certified Professional - Installing and Configuring Windows Server 2012 R2, One Microsoft MOC on demanded course

Programme duration

- 24 - 28 month Higher IT apprenticeship (with opportunity to step off after 12-15 months if you find that the training/role isn't for you)

- Someone who can work well under pressure
- Someone with good troubleshooting skills and a customer service mentality
- Someone with 5 GCSE Grades (C and above) or equivalent, including Maths, IT and English

Other Important Information...

Daily working hours are from Monday - Thursday, 8.00am till 5:00pm and on Friday its 8:00am - 4:00pm
