Our client, an international engineering organisation based in the Rotherham area, is now looking to recruit an Maintenance Team Leader to join the team as soon as possible.

They are looking to bring someone either experienced in managing or supervising a team, or someone who has been involved in supervising staff but now looking to take that next step forward in their career.

Main Job Purpose

To manage the day to day running of the Maintenance business to ensure an efficient and effective equipment manufacture, installation and support service for all production plant and equipment. To optimise operational performance through proactive / reactive maintenance techniques and through effective management of all Maintenance personnel ensuring that safety is secured through the adoption of safe working practices and the provision of safe plant and equipment.

Principal Accountabilities

1. Safeguard the health and safety of all Maintenance personnel

2. Safeguard the integrity and safety of all plant and equipment associated with manufacturing operations

3. Support and maintain the Maintenance Quality Management System (including IMS)

4. Support the drive towards continual improvement

5. Ensure utilisation of CMMS to improve the integrity and relevance of data to allow an informed management decision making process.

6. Promote Maintenance as a champion of Service Excellence

7. Propose and justify the provision of resource and equipment for the department

8. Manage the resources and workload in order to meet the departmental operational objectives.

9. Optimise operational performance through the provision and management of an effective preventative and reactive breakdown service.

10. Management of Service Contracts to satisfy the requirement for specialist maintenance activities in order to support the business.

11. Develop the capability of individuals and the team in order to effectively discharge operational objectives.

12. Manage resource in line with company policy ensuring that all company policies are constantly adhered to.

13. Stay abreast of best relevant technologies and ensure they are used where possible.

14. Ensure that interfaces between the Maintenance Department and other functions are effective. Also ensuring that these are fully integrated to reflect cross functional boundaries and respected by company personnel

15. To ensure all Maintenance staff are kept informed through the provision of effective and regular communication.
