A Senior Enterprise Systems Engineer is required by a global information business to join a team of technologists working at the forefront of technological development within the organisation.

Role: Senior Enterprise Systems Engineer

As Senior Enterprise Systems Engineer you will be responsible for:

+ You will be working within a team of expert engineers executing against a global strategy to deliver a flexible and dynamic workplace experience, enabling our people to access services from any device, anywhere in the world.

+ As part of the Dynamic global engineering team you will be responsible for the design and build of all Enterprise systems.

+ The team is responsible for creating and implementing low-level designs in alignment with architecture principles and standards
+ You will take a 'cloud first' approach to end user technology, to reduce costs and improve business agility

+ You will take responsibility for ensuring high user adoption and customer satisfaction for new Enterprise technologies, and that internal IT teams have the capability to support them

+ You will help support a collaborative and agile team that can deliver reliable and cost effective Enterprise solutions


As Senior Enterprise Systems Engineer you will have experience of:

+ Degree Qualified or equivalent in Computer Science or other relevant discipline
+ Expert knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory Domain Services, ADFS, SSO and cloud based identity management
+ Expert knowledge of cloud platforms including Microsoft Azure IaaS, PaaS and AWS
+ Expert knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server 2012 and Hyper-V to support regional office locations, including on-premise and cloud based file serving
+ Expert knowledge of Windows network protocols including DNS, DHCP, WINS, LDAP and Kerberos
+ Experience in the automation of manual tasks and seeking out efficiencies by 'shifting left' where possible
+ Significant experience of infrastructure and application architectures, particularly with respect to cloud services, automation techniques and managing 'infrastructure as code' leading to consistent delivery and to high levels of quality
+ Expert knowledge of monitoring tools such as System Center Operations Manager (SCOM)
+ Expert knowledge of security technologies and strategies, including the use of web and email content filtering, public key infrastructure, drive encryption, patch management and AV best practices
+ Expert knowledge of integrating large heterogeneous environments that include Windows and OS X file systems, desktops, laptops and mobile devices.

+ Expert knowledge of PowerShell to automate complex and repetitive operations for L1 and L2 support teams
