A Head for Pensions. A Heart for People

Our client is a £23 billion organisation that protects millions of people who belong to thousands of eligible pension schemes throughout the UK.

Hundreds of thousands of people depend on them to pay compensation for the pension they lost when their employers or former employers went bust and could no longer afford to pay what they had promised.

They don't choose to come to them, but they're there as the lifeboat when they need them - and they value every member. For our client, it's all about protecting people's futures - and that's their vision. So, why not join them and make a real difference to people's lives?

Are you a Quantitative Analyst with experience of modelling in a financial institution or consultancy firm? If so, we'd love to hear from you. Our client currently has an exciting and challenging role for credible and highly VBA savvy Quant to work in a small team, supporting business critical decisions: financial risk; funding; investment strategy etc. This is a multi-faceted role that will offer the right candidate a wide range of career building opportunities: from working with the Government Actuary's Department; to designing economic scenarios; and analysing trends in the UK Defined Benefits pension landscape.

The ideal candidate will have an in depth knowledge of models of yield curves and asset returns, and in depth investment product knowledge especially of credit related products and option pricing.

In return, we offer a highly competitive package, non-hierarchical structure and an absolute commitment to professional learning and development. You will have access to a wide variety of stakeholders and ample opportunity to present your findings so being able to communicate technical information to a non-technical audience is a must.

Our client operates the 'two ticks' scheme. Candidates with a disability who meet the essential criteria for this role will be guaranteed an interview under this scheme.

They are an equal opportunities employer and welcome applications from all sections of the community.
