Is this YOU? 1X Part-Time (18 hours) ??44,529 to ??51,777 (pro-rata) with up to 10% PRP depending on performance The Enfield Safeguarding Children and Quality Assurance Service is looking to appoint one part-time (18 hours) Independent Reviewing Officer/Child Protection Conference Chair on a permanent basis. You will be responsible for chairing Child Protection Conferences of children subject to Child Protection Plans, statutory reviews of children who are Looked After and other complex meetings, such as strategy meetings (LADO) and other complex meetings (in relation to child sexual exploitation) Commitment to helping maintain the existing excellent standards of the Service, and in meeting our statutory responsibilities around timescales and deadlines is essential. You will need substantial management experience in statutory social work with children and families and of chairing complex meetings. You will have a thorough working knowledge of the legal framework relating to child protection and looked after children, including Care Planning Regulations and the duties and responsibilities of the IRO as set out in the IRO Handbook (DfE 2010). You will join a very busy but supportive and committed team and play a full part in its operation of ensuring the effective safeguarding and promotion of the welfare of vulnerable children and young people in Enfield. We are focussed on improving outcomes for children, developing ways to improve reviewing the plans for looked after children and managing child protection conferences. Enfield is in the process of implementing Signs of Safety across all services. Experience of chairing conferences in this model will be an advantage. You are required to hold a relevant social work qualification and HCPC accreditation.
