: Job Details Cheviots Children's Disability Service Advanced Practitioner 2 year secondment/temporary contract This is an exciting and unique opportunity to join a specialist social care service recognised nationally for its excellent and innovative provision to disabled children and their families Cheviots is part of Enfield's Joint Service for disabled children. In addition to social care, the Joint Service comprises health and education professionals and works closely with local voluntary organisations, parents and children to ensure the highest quality service is provided. You will be part of this multi-agency team delivering the social work service. Are you an experienced children and families social worker? You will hold a caseload of the most complex cases and will participate in the delivery of the busy duty system, ensuring timely responses to enquiries into the social work service and to the completion of assessments within specified timescales. You will act as a recognised expert within this specialist field, representing the service on a diverse range of multi-agency partnerships as requested by the manager. You will mentor, provide advice and support and where appropriate co work with social workers or multi-disciplinary team members You will drive service improvement through the direct development of others and the dissemination of experience, good practice and research. We are looking for an experience social worker who has significant experience of working within a diverse community and who is able to maintain high quality practice whilst prioritising competing demands. You will need to have the experience of working with all aspects of children's social work practice, as the team holds cases of children in need, child protection and Looked after Children cases. You will need the ability to balance competing needs and prioritising the work flow. You will be offered regular supervision, group and peer supervision and there are excellent training and professional development opportunities.
