My client is a leading manufacturer of precision CNC machined components supplied to a variety of major customers in various industries. They are actively seeking to strengthen their Engineering Department and are looking for good experienced and proven Project Engineers/Manager. Key Responsibilities: - Project leadership to meet customer and company objectives. Ensure enquiries and quotations carried out in line with the Company’s New Product Introduction (NPI) process. Manage projects through the Company’s New Product Introduction (NPI) process. Communicate project/product progress and issues to customers& internal resource. Delegate to, and steer, the operations team towards satisfactory delivery of projects. Cost projects, engineering, tooling and manufacturing. Create and maintain a ‘knowledge base’ for future projects. Develop new business to enrich Machine shop capacity. This role includes the possibility of overseas travel. Successful candidates will have: - In depth understanding of the engineering, tooling, casting and machining processes. Automotive, Motorsport, Aerospace and or/Defence industry experience. Experience of organising multiple tasks / projects. Good communication skills and business acumen. Experience of using ISO Quality Standards. Experience of using an internal New Product Introduction (NPI) process. Experience of completing quotations and understanding commercial terms and conditions. Demonstrable and proven experience of business / account development. A recognised formal engineering qualification in a relevant field would be desirable for this role. A good understanding of modern CNC machining would be advantageous. This job was originally posted as
