A New Business Field Sales Executive with proven experience in sales as well as a good track record in managed cloud services and IT infrastructure is required for a Managed Services provider based in Godalming, Surrey. Role: New Business Field Sales Executive Salary: Up to £50,000kpa (neg.) £100kpa (uncapped OTE) Location: Godalming, Surrey Statement of job purpose: Our client is looking for a New Business Field Sales Executive with a proven sales track record in managed cloud services and IT infrastructure, to sell its products within key verticals: local government, finance and charitable sectors. Skills & Abilities Essential: Work independently, as well as part of a team Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written A proven track record of hitting and exceeding sales targets, preferably in end-user sales and a proven ability to achieve quotas Proven experience in cloud-orientated sales with a good grounding in infrastructure Experience of working within an organisation in an early adopter market Politically astute, excellent understanding of business and ability to develop relationships with key and senior decision makers Enthusiasm in making make cold calls, therefore excellent telephone skills Proven ability at effectively making formal and informal presentations to all levels of management Excellent planning and time-management skills Confident and determined - focused on closing business Self-motivated and able to retain enthusiasm and stay focused Good commercial awareness and experience of engaging directly with clients The capacity to flourish in a competitive environment Desirable: Insight into engineering proficiency at developing cloud-ready applications, such as those built on open standards, network development, monitoring skills, and security skills Solution sales: a good point from which our client can educate you in its managed services portfolio Understanding of IT market and industry principles and practices Ability to demonstrate understanding of products and services that our client sells Understanding of procurement processes Contract negotiation skills Business communication, leadership and project management skills: Articulate to customers the advantages of adopting a cloud variant, i.e. how the shift will improve the business and remove the risk in transitioning from old to new Handle complex long-term focused projects involving multiple disciplines or business units Provide insight and direction to high priority or special projects undertaken Recommend appropriate technological alternatives/process/resource improvements to the customer/customer’s IT management Provide high-level specialised technical insight and consultation to customers’ business and IT management teams Business, architectural analysis and planning skills: Listen to the customer in order to understand their problems and take an active involvement in the development of technical solutions Identify gaps, strategic impacts, financial impacts and the risk profile of the technical solution or offering, as well as providing general commercial support Work with the marketing team to undertake demand generation programmes Ensure all sales communications are correctly and accurately reflected within the CRM system Pipeline development, forecasting, account planning, sales cycle management, collaboration, teamwork and best practice sharing Leading multiple customer sales cycles from qualification through to close: effectively orchestrating necessary resources, completing required sales activities (RFI/RFP, customer qualification, requirements gathering, solution development, business validation), and closing the sale.
