Job Ref: JB13522 Position: Ward Manager Nurse (RMN) (RNLD) Type: Permanent Groups: Adolescents, Adults, Elderly Care: Learning Disabilities, Mental Health, Rehabilitation, Low Secure Salary:£35k/pa Desirable: Excellent command of the English language, fantastic clinical skills and a caring nature My client requires a dedicated Unit Manager or Senior Nurse (RMN) (RNLD) to work within a thriving Independent Hospital in East Sussex. My client offers a range of services, Complex Needs and Challenging Behaviour Service, Locked Rehabilitation, Low Secure service, Neurocognitive Disorder Service, Locked Rehabilitation Learning Disability Service. The care pathway is designed to enable patients to move along the pathway, as determined by individual needs. Patients can move from Low Security and Complex needs services our Locked Rehabilitation services whilst being supported by the same multi-disciplinary team. We are looking for a Ward Manager to run the new Neurocognitive Disorders Service (NDS) which is a custom-designed service for men suffering from dementia and other disorders affecting cognition that present with complex needs and marked neuropsychiatric symptoms. As part of the clinical team, you will assist in the development and delivery of care plans, support our service users with everyday activities and will play a significant role in assisting and encouraging them to engage in therapeutic activities and organised events designed to help them increase their skills and independence. You will need a flexible approach to working hours, be able to demonstrate good verbal and written communication skills and exhibit attitudes and behaviours reflective of my clients vision and values. Skills and responsibilities for the Ward Manager (RMN) (RNLD) role: - Manage the day to day running of the service and coordinating its operations. - Contribute to Clinical Governance meetings. - Work within the Optima model. - Recruit, train, supervise, appraise, line manage and retain all nursing and support staff on for the service - To coordinate the staff rota and ensure clinical cover remains compliant and in accordance with the service specification.
