Advantage Resourcing are currently looking to recruit a Supply Chain Manager to work within a Government Organisation based in Bristol. The role is due to run until April 2017 and pays a maximum daily rate of up to £400 per day (LTD) The Supply Chain Manager (SCM) is responsible for the effective planning, execution and support to decision making for through life solutions operating at a practitioner level. The SCM is also responsible for applying optimum SCM processes and policy within Joint Electronic Surveillance Delivery Team (JES DT) for the purpose of achieving appropriate key performance indicators. The Joint Electronic Surveillance (JES) Delivery Team (DT) acquires electronic Surveillance and attack systems, principally for Maritime and Land users. JES equipment is critical for success on operations and exploits techniques at the leading edge of technology. The team provides users with systems that present clear, concise and relevant awareness of the operational picture, when and where they need it. The DT ensure these systems are safe, secure and robust in the hostile electronic environments in which they operate. JES is a 'through-life' team and deliver new capabilities into service as well as providing ongoing support to in-service equipment. Each delivery team within Int Sys manages a wide range of In-Service contracting arrangements, Strategic Supplier Support, Contracting for Availability, Contractor Logistic Support, Enabling Arrangements, Fixed Qty Contracts and Traditional, all of which are supported/managed by the Supply Chain function Key responsibilities: Producing and reviewing JES DT's Inventory Plan Work with suppliers and customers to maintain the SC to agreed performance levels. Provide advice and guidance to the DT on effective supply chain management The efficient disposal of surplus equipment and spares To assist in the use of supply chain management tools, systems and processes Conduct impairment reviews Utilise in-service asset and tracking tools to aide Inventory Management Manage performance to drive continuous improvement in Inv Mgt availability. Responsible for procurement decisions under letters of delegation. Effective management and control of repairables. Responsible for the creation and management of inventory data.
