You can expect to be working in an environment that promotes the development of your skills and knowledge.Job DescriptionAs the Staff Nurse you will assess, plan, deliver and implement a high standard of nursing care, ensuring that the individual needs of the patient are responded to. You will be require to work effectively within the team, supervising junior staff and deputising for senior staff when necessary, as well as independently.Salary: £31,630 - £35,822 + 9% enhancement (depending on experience)Duties & ResponsibilitiesAssess, plan, implement and evaluate care to meet the patient and their family's needsPlan and deliver care for admissions and dischargesEarly recognition of clinical problems and report or take appropriate actionMaintain accurate recordsDecontaminate equipment, ensuring it is in good working orderUndertake extended roles such as venepuncture, cannulation and phlebotomyInitiate improvements and developments in clinical issues and delivery of careAll ad hoc nursing duties as required by senior staff, including potential deputising for seniors in their absenceSkills & ExperienceRGN, NMC registered with PINPrevious recent experience in a relevant Inpatient hospital setting (Orthopaedics, Gynae and ENT) is essential Confident communicator with high levels of written and spoken EnglishDesirably ILS trainedDesirably has experience of mentorshipAbout The IndividualThe successful candidate will be adaptable and able to meet changing working patterns and caseload, working independently as well as within the team.
